As part of my Master’s thesis, I aimed to develop an innovative methodology that moves beyond subjective perception to define the landscape and architectural character of Tököl—an agglomeration town—using objective, GIS-based data. This research addresses a critical gap by focusing on the identity-forming role of green infrastructure, a factor frequently overlooked in current municipal Townscape Management Guides (TAK).

Drawing on professional experience gained at the Tököl Mayor’s Office, I conducted an in-depth analysis of the town's architectural character. As part of this work, I developed 3D models of Tököl’s most significant landmark buildings to visually demonstrate the key features that define the town's visual identity. The primary objective of the research was to create a decision-support database, enabling the local municipality to identify both heritage values to be preserved and problematic areas in need of development. The findings outline a landscape architecture toolkit that contributes to the sustainable development of a consciously shaped, characterful, and "green" townscape.
