The project aims to pay a worthy tribute to those resting abroad through the symbolism of a modern burial mound. The work strives to allow visitors to visually experience an unbreakable connection to the homeland through the root motif. The design was inspired by the duality of national belonging and reverence, where the interplay of raw materials and light provides the sacred depth of the space. The root system beneath the glass surface and the names of countries carry a rich layer of meaning for the observer. The monument reflects respect for a location that is an integral part of Hungarian history. This concept creates an emotional bridge between those resting far away and those who remained at home, enriching the National Memorial Site of the Fiumei Road Cemetery with a lasting element.
